Defining Late Contributions

Quarterly PAC Report Filing Dates
PAC report filing due October 25th:
October 25th, 2024 (reporting period July 21, 2024 – October 20th, 2024)
Note: The above refers only to reports due through October 2024.
Candidate Committee Filing Dates
For those participating (on the ballot) in the General Election Pre & Post reports will be due:
Pre-General campaign statements are due October 25th, 2024. Close of books is October 20th, 2024.
Post- General Election statements are due December 5th, 2024. Close of books is November 25th, 2024.
Candidate Committees not on the General Election Ballot Filing Dates
October 25th, 2024 (reporting period July 21st – October 20, 2024).
Late Contribution 48-hour reports for the November 5th General Election
PAC’s: Late contribution reports for PAC’s for the General election are due October 21st – November 2nd, 2024.

Definition of “Late Contributions”
For PAC’s
A committee other than a Candidate Committee (PAC or Ballot Question Committee) a late contribution is received when two conditions are met:
The committee receives a single or cumulative contribution of $2,500 or more received from the same person between the day after the books are closed for the last campaign statement required and the 3rd day before the date of an election
And,
The committee has made an expenditure to support or oppose a candidate or a question on a ballot during the same late contribution report period described above

For Candidate Committees
A contribution is defined as late in the following situations:
Any single or cumulative contribution of $500.00 or more received from the same person between the day after books are closed for the last campaign statement required and the 3rd day before the date of the committee/candidate election.
And,
All types of contributions that meet the definition must be reported: Money, loans, in-kind contributions of goods and/or services and contributions from candidates to themselves.
